Power Opt In

Manwë controls the winds and birds of Arda, but I am not going to assume that any bird characters/pets (or even bird-like characters) from other worlds are under his control.

If you would like for them to be connected to Manwë (i.e. he can hear them, understand them and coax them into being his eyes/ears), please leave a comment below!

If you'd rather they be independent of him, either leave a comment saying so or I will assume that is so by default.

I'd like some ability for Manwe's powers to affect Julien, some connection, but without the full brunt of his power working on him.

Like... in person, face to face, I wouldn't mind if Manwe was able to soothe Julien, put him at ease etc and have some ability to influence his emotions. Please do that sparingly beyond encouraging Julien to like him! I've been saying that Elves can pick up on Julien's emotions as if he were a normal animal, and that's true here, too! But please contact me before probing into his thoughts or past, and I don't want anyone giving him irresistible orders.

Manwe can be aware of Julien and know roughly where he is if Julien's in his range, but I'd prefer no using his eyes and ears, and if Manwe can send out thoughts and images I'd like it to only be possible from conversation range or if Julien is looking at him.

Perfect! That's kind of how I saw it working anyway. Manwë isn't controlling/intrusive like Melkor. He loves giving as much freedom as possible and he hates conflict of any sort or holding someone prisoner. Which is why he let Melkor go the first time.

A soft touch is better for Julien anyway, he's done nothing worse than be rude a couple times. |D So far.

Manwë has only a tiny understanding of evil/wickedness, so he's more likely to be open and friendly.
